Toronto Wedding Photography | Valentina + Denis

Wow! It's been an extremely cold week in Toronto. And like most people, when the cold air hits your face, you mutter a couple of swearwords to yourself and you start to daydream about the upcoming summer season, and picturing life on a beach or a patio. But stay around out there for a few minutes longer, and you begin to notice the great beauty that the winter season can bring.

A perfect example of winter beauty, was Valentina + Denis' civil ceremony last year, in Mississauga. I first met Val + Denis while photographing their friend's wedding. Both of them were Maid of Honour/Best Man (I wish I could take credit for starting a little chemistry between them, but they were already an engaged). While they opted to have a destination wedding in the Caribbean, they still wanted to have a civil ceremony here in Toronto.

That morning was one of the biggest snowfalls of the year! Driving across the city, I felt like a lead character in Walking Dead driving across a empty highway. But, as empty as the roads were, all of Val + Denis' friends and family made it out to celebrate their special day.  After the lovely ceremony and some family formals, I was able to convince the two of them to just step outside real quick as it was a perfect mix of the right amount and size of snow. Thankfully, being the good sports they are, they agreed, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Toronto Wedding Photography - Lindsay & Scott E-Session

I first met Lindsay & Scott while shooting a wedding that Lindsay was the Maid of Honour for. They're a fantastic, fun, loving couple who enjoy hanging out in their neighbourhood, going for walks in the park. The weather was fantastic on the shoot date (much like it is right now), and we had a great time in and around their house and down by the pier. Stay tuned for their wedding photos to be up on the blog soon!
